The strangest part about being famous is you don't get to give first impressions anymore. Everyone already has an impression of you before you meet them.
To enjoy being famous, you need to have a screw loose.
The idea of being famous is a lot better than the reality.
Being famous before you've formed your personality, before you have that self-esteem, is dangerous.
In the heart of Los Angeles lies a society of the rich and famous; popular and beautiful people full of glitz and glamour from years in the spotlight and a thousand touch ups from the make up artists. They live a bright life of fast cars, endless cocktails and expensive clothing, shopping in stores that would bankrupt ordinary people. They live in the best houses, eat the best food and enjoy the finest champagne known to man. Their lives are full of people who help them get what they want in exchange for sharing their wealth and popularity. Money follows them round and turns everything about their lives to gold.
Or at least that's what it looks like from the outside.
Hollywood is full of stars, rising and aging alike, populating the world with fresh entertainment in the forms of new movies, new music and the glitz and dazzling award shows that spread gossip faster than your average rumour-monger. People with fame seem to be attracted to equally famous people resulting in group outtings to exclusive clubs, fancy retreats to the Bahamas with stars that they've watched growing up and are now rubbing shoulders with.
Even outside the entertainment industry, people are making a name for themselves and entering the glorious world that fame brings. Businessmen and women, media tycoons are all pouring into this golden world, making a name for themselves and carving a life that brings envy to so many people.
Into this world gradually pour the students of Beverley Rose Academy, an elite private boarding school with an optional college. The rich and famous send their youngsters here to receive a first class education and a reputation as prestigious as the school itself. However the dark side of the rich and famous comes with many problems, issues which the academy is more than equipped to deal with. With the issues of drugs, alcohol and violence constantly being brought into the school along with social problems thanks to the superficial lifestyle which these kids have been born into, the school has had to equip itself with facilities for the troubled youngsters.
So, welcome to Daydream Nation. We are an intermediate, 400 word count RP and we would love to welcome you on board the crazy rollercoaster that is life here in sunny Los Angeles.
