KATIE M. LENNOX,
[attr="class","pp"]
"Lights, cameras, action!" The cameras start rolling and the live audience cheers wildly as the colorfully dressed actress makes her way to the stage. She is small in appearance but her style is second to none. Her brightly colored lips and lacy dress with lengthy heels to match immediately catch the views attention. She is stunning, absolutely breathtaking, but she doesn't hold your usual sex appeal that most Hollywood stars these days do. She is classy and elegant and that says a lot about her character even though you might not realize it yet. "I'd like to welcome the stunning Katie Lennox to our show tonight! We're all very thrilled to have you with us tonight! This is your first time with us, is it not?" "I'm just as excited and nervous to be here!" The brunette put on a dazzling smile and kept her attention honed in on the host. The first thing she had learned about these kinds of television interviews was that keeping your attention away from camera was key. Not that Katie really had an issue with ignoring them at this point. What did make her nervous however, was having to speak unprompted and unscripted in front of a live audience and families who were all gathered around their TVs in the living room. She was quirky by default and still stumbled over her words from time to time. A trait from the past that had continued to stick with her all the way to this day. "Yes, this is definitely my first time being here. I couldn't be any more eager though. It really is an honor." "You really are as sweet as they say! Must be your southern roots shining through. Speaking of which, you grew up in a very small town didn't you?" "Oh geez, I'm going to start blushing now." Unlike most celebrities who said this mockingly, Katie actually meant it. Had her cheeks not already been colored a light rosy color you would have been able to pick up on the heating flesh. To this day it still flustered her when people spoke so kindly to her, but not everyone was always this nice. "Yes, I did grow up in a very small town. The population is only around 750 I believe. Pretty crazy, huh?" Even she couldn't believe just how small her hometown was. It all seemed like a distant memory to her now because Katie hadn't been home in quite some time. Once she graduated and she moved to start her career, she never really looked back. There were only a few people in Boswell she actually kept in contact with aside from her family. "Boswell, Indiana to be exact. Pleasant little place. A lot different from Yew York." "I can only imagine. All these big cities must have been a huge culture shock. I mean, New York City definitely isn't made for country bumpkins." "Oh no, no it definitely is not." She had been here very briefly to shoot a couple of scenes for a TV show a few years back and the city was still just as strange as she remembered. There were half naked people all over the place, drunk and stumbling their way from one block to the next. Katie had been alarmed and slightly put off by it before, but New York wasn't that much different. There were quite a few weirdos all over the place and the things she had seen now definitely would be horrifying to the people living quietly in her small hometown. "It was pretty crazy leaving a town like that for a huge city. I mean, I didn't know anyone and I had no idea what I was doing when I first started out. My manager helped ease me into the mayhem, but I think I'm getting the hang of it now." "Good, very good to hear. We're all very lucky that you made it out into the big leagues because your acting is spot on. I mean, I adored all your roles so far, even the smaller parts." "I'm glad you think so, but I'm more lucky to have you guys." Her attention turned briefly in the direction of the audience to whom she smiled and waved at. They cheered, thrilled to even have a little bit of her attention. Again, this wasn't something that she was unfamiliar with. Ever since puberty hit Katie had sort of drawn in the attention of those around her. During high school that had all gotten to her head and she stumbled along, succumbing to the pressures of her peers. She hadn't really known what to make of it then and still didn't know what to do with it now. Girls wanted to look like her and guys wanted to be with her. To be honest, it was all madness to her but she went along with it because that was all she really knew how to do. Otherwise Katie probably would have ended up somewhere else. Probably living a life not so glamorous as this one. "Well thank you. I mean, I'm not quite up there with the big actors and actresses yet, but I'm definitely trying." "Trust me when I say it shows. You'll be up there with Jennifer Lawrence soon enough. Do you have any upcoming projects you can tell us about?" "She's so adorable. I met her once after an award show. Seriously the sweetest person ever." Like Jennifer Lawrence, she hoped to keep in touch with her true self but it was pretty clear that Katie was having a hard time doing that when she lost sight of herself somewhere way back during her sophomore year. Society played a big role on how she presented herself these days and Katie had become infamous for her relationships with co-stars and other celebrities she had met through this person or that, but at the end of the day when her make up was off and she switched into an old t-shirt and sweatpants, Katie was still the dorky girl with glasses who could recite all the organelles inside a cell in ten seconds flat. But that girl had been stuffed in a box and kept in a closet for quite some time now. Katie was still familiar with her old self because she hadn't completely lost touch with her, but the changes were evident. "As of right now I'm working on a few side projects. You might catch me me in a few episodes of this TV show or that, but I am working on getting a role in one of the upcoming productions. Nothing is set in stone though, so I can't really say much." "We're all going to be on the look out for you now and I hope you get the role! It's about time you got one of those lead roles, huh? You would make for the perfect girl next door." "I'm certainly looking forward to getting more lines, yes. It'll be a fun new experience for me." On screen kisses had already happened for her but nothing too major. So far all of her characters had been supporting parts but generally unimportant or noticeable. Not that she minded really. Having all eyes on her was pretty horrifying and add in an on-screen romance and she would probably just about die. Only not really considering she knew the ins and outs of fake relationships. At this point, most of her romantic endeavors felt more scripted than her actual roles. But her manager insisted that it was good for publicity so maybe it wasn't really all that bad? "I'll be sure to keep that in mind when I'm on the hunt for roles." "As you should! But speaking of romance... do you have a lucky guy in the picture?" "Oh... um..." Now her cheeks flush a deep crimson and she had to look anywhere but at the host's face. No, there wasn't anyone in her life right now. She had just gone through a break up but that wasn't surprising. The relationships she did keep never lasted that long and usually the guy was only trying to get something out of her that definitely wasn't her heart. But of course she allowed herself to be used because it was apparently part of the job. Just pretend. Only for a couple of weeks. It's nothing permanent. Maybe some people would enjoy that but Katie didn't really think she did. Being tossed around and used didn't exactly make her feel good about herself but she had come to learn to accept it with a smile on her face. Plus, there were plenty of other things in life that made her happy enough so there was that at least. "Nope, I'm very single right now." "Ohhh, I bet the guys are glad to hear it. Anyway, that's about all the time we have for today! Thank you again for coming! Let's hear it for Katie Lennox everyone!" The crowd is cheering again and the girl gets up from her seat. She hugs the host then turns to smile and wave at the camera and fans. Through this interview you've witnessed how humble she is but she really gave no personal details about herself. This leaves you curious about who she really is and what she's thinking. What you see on the outside is an adorable smiling young woman but other than that, you haven't the slightest clue as to who hides underneath those smiles. |
