I wish I could cross my arms, and cross your mind
Cause I believe you'd unfold your paper heart and wear it on your sleeve

His teaching style is very hectic and hands-on. He is more into the practices and tools of art rather than the history even though he does try to encourage his students to draw reference and inspiration from the old masters and each other. Known for being rather sensitive, he tries to treat everyone with a certain amount of respect, even if they don't return the same notion. When dealing with personal problems, he will either lash out and act on his emotions, or withdraw to find a solution, sometimes dwelling on a subject for days before finding a solution he's happy with. Protectiveness is a trait he has gained through his own experiences and wishing that someone had been the same way with him. This tends to go to an extreme as he attempts to shelter certain people from hypothetical or even not largely possible threats. the lines, MOTHER'S NAME, AGE & OCCUPATION: Lucinda, 62 & HousewifeFATHER'S NAME, AGE & OCCUPATION: Arthur, 60 & small business owner SIBLING NAME(S), AGE(S), OCCUPATION(S): N/A PET(S) - SPECIES, BREED: N/A CHILD(REN) NAME(S), AGE(S): N/A the past, BIRTHPLACE: Columbus, OhioFIRST FRIEND (small paragraph): Rian, being a lot shorter than him, was always the more energetic one. He was outgoing and charismatic despite being devious and over dramatic. They met later in life when Caspian had given up on making friends and it seemed as though the taller man blossomed when the two were together. Rian encouraged Caspian's more rebellious side, which got them both into trouble more often than not. FIRST LOVE (small paragraph): Surprise, surprise, it was Rian. Caspian had never known friendship or love before, and he was the first one to make him feel companionship. the relationship never even had a chance, because once Rian realized what was going on, he made sure it never advanced in any way. FIRST MEMORY: Caspian swung his small feet off the over-sized chair in the living room, watching his mother and father waltzing around him, eventually picking him up and dancing while they laughed. BEST MEMORY: Back when he was dating this almost completely insane guy named Daniel, Caspian and him finally got their spot on a Ferris wheel, the ride climbing them higher into the sky, Dan holding his hand. A child and his mother were in the seat above them, the child waving a milkshake around. The boyfriends enjoyed the ride until Caspian heard a loud splat ad turned to see Dan, his arms raised in shock and his head and torso covered in melty chocolate milkshake. He hadn't remembered laughing so hard as he did at that moment, watching his then boyfriend half laugh half cry over the ice cream staining his clothes and ruining his hair. When the ride stopped, he helped sop up his sticky boyfriend before driving him home, getting a little distracted as he helped dan clean himself up. WORST MEMORY: Caspian sat at the edge of the schoolyard, hunched over his sketchbook. His colored pencils were splayed out around him as he detailed and shaded one of his proudest pieces. Being the tallest one in class, and the shyest, he never really felt like he exactly fit in with everyone else. He tried to be outgoing and was considered rather talkative, but he always noticed when his name was spoken behind other people's hands. Hands flying over the page as more and more of the drawing revealed itself to him, he felt that giddy high that accompanies the creation of something he knew he would be proud of. He might even show someone this time. Footsteps crunched along the grass, but Caspian only looked up when he felt eyes on him. There stood three of his "friends" from class a. k. a. the people he allowed to pick on him because at least they noticed him. Hey faggot, what you got there? one of them squawked as she grabbed at his sketchbook, sneering at the page. Another one of these stupid looking birds? Are you serious? The other two snickered as Caspian tried reaching for his art, tears starting to prick at his eyes. He cleared his throat and spoke, trying to get rid of the quiver in his voice, Please give it back, you're crumpling it! His height should have helped, but his gangly limbs just tripped him, sending him flat on his face. He remained on the floor, finding it easier to hide his face then watch them mock him, but it didn't keep him from hearing the paper tearing. HISTORY (overview): Caspian grew up in a pretty accepting household. Both his parents took the time to meet his needs emotionally and physically, which is maybe why he never felt to interact with the other children before he started going to school. He wasn't the type of kid that clung to his mom's knee the first day of Kindergarten, but he didn't exactly accept the school environment right away. Being used to entertaining himself, he didn't feel the need to seek out the other children's attention and would spend his time playing by himself, coloring pictures or trying to draw his own masterpieces. The first friend he had was in 8th grade when he met Rian, who helped him out of his shell. Caspian learned how to shut the people out that hurt and attacked him for being different, or rather, learned to use his height to his advantage and scare the hell out of them, with Rian's help of course. His parents tried to be understanding when their son came home late, way after the city's set curfew for his age group, but they were probably somewhat relieved that he was at least interacting with someone, no matter how shady he was. The only need for concern was when he wouldn't come home at all and would bring home at least 5 stray cats at a time and say that he was holding them for his friend. Their relationship escalated to a point where Caspian was quite sure romantic feelings were shared before Rian made it rather clear they were not. He led his whole life pursuing art, and his parents helped him along with his career by encouraging his talent and purchasing supplies for him. Once he had graduated high school (with less than perfect attendance) he entered college only to drop out not soon after. He had gotten rather distracted by the lure of certain mind-numbing substances that he was convinced amped his creativity, until he noticed that he was in his early twenties and was aimed toward nowhere. Returning to college after a stint in rehab, he got his degree in teaching with a minor in art. |
