THE GROUPS , • TOURISTS are characters who are only visiting the area, short-term or long-term, but have no intention of staying permanently. of course, that can always change... • NEWCOMERS are fresh-faced little newbies who've just arrived in the city or surrounding area and set up a permanent residence. happy housewarming! • STUDENTS are characters that are currently trapped in full-time education. high school, college and grad students all get lumped under the same umbrella, but specify which your character is when filling out your application! • LOCALS are folks who were born and raised in and around new york, or who've lived here for more than a year. they're practically veterans. • HEROES are the everyday men and women who put their lives on the line for the rest of us, whether that be by serving in the military or working for the emergency services. • CRIMINALS are the unfortunate characters who have trouble keeping their nose clean, right the way up from petty lawbreakers to dangerous felons. • CELEBRITIES are the fortunate few who exist on a higher plane than the rest of us. no matter how they got their fame and money, everybody knows who they are!
